Terms of service
Last updated 9 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and iShot ("we", "us"), an AI photo and film studio operated from New Zealand. By signing in or buying credits you accept them. If you don't accept them, please don't use the service.
Your account
You sign in with a Google account. Keep it secure — anything done through your account, including spending credits, is treated as done by you. You must be at least 16 years old to hold an account. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.
Credits and pricing
- Credits are prepaid in packs, priced in New Zealand dollars and processed by Stripe. Prices shown at checkout include any applicable GST.
- Each shoot spends 2–6 credits for a 3–15 second Kling video (including its opening image). We'll show you the cost before you confirm.
- Credits are not money. They have no cash value, can't be transferred or exchanged between accounts, and don't earn interest.
- Credits don't expire while your account is open.
- We may change pack prices or render costs at any time. A change never affects credits you already hold — those keep the value they had when you bought them.
- Purchases are one-off. There is no subscription and nothing recurring to cancel. Refunds are covered by our refunds policy.
What you upload
You must have the right to upload every photo you submit, and the consent of anyone recognisable in it. Do not upload:
- images of anyone under 18 in any sexual or suggestive context, or sexual content generally;
- content that infringes someone's copyright, trade mark or privacy;
- content designed to impersonate a real person or organisation, or to deceive;
- content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, or promotes violence.
We can remove content and close accounts that breach this, without refund of spent credits.
What the AI produces
Renders are produced by third-party AI models. Output is inherently unpredictable: it may not resemble your photo, may contain errors or oddities, and quality varies between runs. We can't promise a particular result.
Those models also run their own content filters, which sometimes refuse a render even for a perfectly ordinary photo, and can refuse one attempt and accept the next. That's outside our control. When a render fails or is refused, the credits are returned to your balance automatically.
Ownership and sharing
You keep ownership of the photos you upload. As between you and us, the renders produced from them are yours to use, including commercially — though note that in some countries purely AI-generated material may not attract copyright at all.
You grant us the licence we need to run the service: to store, process and send your photos and prompts to the AI providers listed in our privacy policy, and to display a shoot publicly if you turn on sharing for it. Turning sharing off, or deleting the shoot, ends that display.
Acceptable use
Don't attempt to break, overload or circumvent the service, scrape it with automated tools, resell access to it, or use it to build a competing model.
Availability
We aim to keep iShot running but it's provided on a best-effort basis, and we may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it. We depend on third-party AI providers; if one is down or refuses work, renders may fail. We'll refund credits for failed renders, which is the main remedy we can offer for an outage.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 if you're a consumer. If you use iShot for business purposes, you agree that the Consumer Guarantees Act does not apply, and that both parties consider this fair and reasonable.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using iShot at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close your account if you breach these terms. If we close your account without cause, we'll refund your unused credits.
Governing law
These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when. Continuing to use iShot after a change means you accept the updated terms.
